IMAGINE I'M BEAUTIFUL

Naomi’s first feature screenplay, which she also co-produced and starred in, produced by Nine Lives Pictures, was the recipient of 12 awards on the film festival circuit, including 4 Best Picture Awards and The “Don” Award for Best Independently Produced Screenplay of 2014. The film was then picked up for distribution by Candy Factory Films and received an 11-city theatrical release in 2014/2015. It is now available on Amazon Prime. The film was named #8 in the Top Ten Films of 2014 by Oscar World. Imagine I’m Beautiful is a psychological drama that explores the line between self-invention and insanity.  www.imagineimbeautiful.com

UNTITLED HAMMOND CASTLE PROJECT

Naomi is currently at work on her third feature screenplay – a magical realism film that explores themes of identity, legacy, and gender through a modern day 7-month pregnant woman’s unexpected interaction with the brilliant, eccentric, and deceased inventor John Hays Hammond, Jr.

THE NEW YORKER PRESENTS (Amazon)

Naomi was hired to write the screenplay adaptation of Miranda July's short story Roy Spivey for Amazon's original series, The New Yorker Presents, an episodic series based on the world's most award-winning magazine. The show premiered at Sundance 2016 and is now streaming on Amazon Prime. The New Yorker re-released Roy Spivey as a stand-alone piece in December 2016.

THE DARK PIECES 

An original series, created by Naomi, that follows the descent of a 49-year-old mother, wife, and veterinarian from Aspen, Colorado as she evolves into a serial killer and the suicidal policewoman whose life is saved by the serpentine case.

 

The Dark Pieces was listed on The 2016 WriteHer List, an annual list of the top 16 unproduced tv series by female screenwriters and was a featured script on The Black List in June 2016. It is now in development for Canadian TV.

As an actress, Naomi has appeared in over 100 films, plays, and TV shows, including lead roles in the indie FILMS: Imagine I'm Beautiful, Come Home Raquel, Nothing About Chloe, Out of Focus, and Edible Souls; TV: appearing in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire; THEATER: The Crucible (Manhattan Repertory Theater), Harold Pinter's The Tea Party (Schapiro Theater), and  starring in The Mire/With Aaron's Arms Around Me at The Cherry Lane Theater, for which she received a rave New York Times review.

Naomi will star in her upcoming feature film Bite Me.
